Check Us Out & Check Us Off!
Children's Services of the Northeast Guidance Center Assistance League
is privileged to be one of 12 children's charities* to benefit
from the Detroit Auto Dealers Association North American International
Auto Show Charity Preview on Friday, January 16, 2009, at the Cobo
Conference/Exhibition Center in Detroit. This is the 33rd anniversary
of the Charity Preview.
Invitations for this elegant evening, which raises more than $6 million
annually, were mailed in early October 2008. Those who do not receive
invitations but would like to purchase tickets may call the DADA Hotline
at (888) 838-7500.
Approximately 94% of your $400 ticket donation goes directly to the
charity of your choice. That is why we ask that you check off Children's
Services of the Northeast Guidance Center Assistance League!
Over the past year, these funds provided staffing, supplies, equipment
and programming for Children's Services. The
program serves 2,500 children diagnosed with Severe Emotional Disorders.
These dollars enabled the NEGC to expand its Children's Outpatient
Services facilities at Detroit's Samaritan Center. That new facility
answered the needs of 500 children in its first six months of operation.
In addition, they supported the I Like Me! self-esteem program, which
reached out to more than 1,500 school children in Detroit, the Grosse
Pointes and Harper Woods. The remainder was devoted to programs that
enhance current and future fundraising projects.
Please check us out - check us off - and help the Northeast Guidance
Center build a better future.
