Membership

The Assistance League to the Northeast Guidance Center is a group of women who are dedicated to promoting and supporting quality behavioral health care services in our area.

From our beginning in 1964, members of the ALNEGC, a non-profit auxiliary, have touched the lives of high-risk children and adults on Detroit’s near east side, in the five Grosse Pointe municipalities and Harper Woods, by providing volunteer and financial assistance to the Northeast Guidance Center (NEGC) and other area agencies.

Our membership represents a wide range of ages, professional backgrounds and interests. Together, we devote our time and talent to a variety of annual fundraisers.

ALNEGC members may also work in a hands-on capacity with NEGC consumers and staff through an ever-expanding array of Service projects, such as the Consumer Christmas Party and Adopt a Family.

The ALNEGC takes a friendly, flexible approach to volunteerism. If you have some extra time, we have many opportunities where your participation can help, and provide you with a great sense of accomplishment and gratification.

With the changes in the way Michigan’s behavioral health care system is structured and funded, we need the commitment of our members now more than ever. We hope that you will consider making a positive difference in our community.
